The Spring/Summer 2026 Collection
"The Markarian Spring/Summer 2026 Collection is inspired by tiger lilies blooming in a summer garden, a memory drawn from my time spent in Maine and the rocky beaches that surround it. We captured the contrast of lush gardens and rugged coastlines by photographing the collection in Hampshire, England, between the wooded grounds of a historic manor and the rocky shorelines of the New Forest. The romantic setting reflects the ease, nostalgia, and modernity of the season.
Sea foam green lace is shaped into soft, romantic silhouettes including light dresses with flowing capelets. Slinky shell-beaded sheer tulle dresses bring a body-conscious dimension to the collection, recalling the shimmer of water at the edge of the tide. Hand-embroidered lilies bloom across easy separates in crisp white cotton, while delicate eyelet jerseys and ribboned seersucker in pale blues, lime greens, and lemon hues evoke relaxed summer days. Strong silhouettes appear in sculptural black gingham, airy black eyelet jerseys, lustrous blue brocades, and cotton sundresses that lend a contrast to the lighter palette and fabrics.
This collection continues to build on Markarian's house codes of nipped waists, easy full skirts, and a sense of enduring romance, while also expanding into effortless separates and lifestyle-driven pieces that broaden our offering. Custom novelty bags add a playful element to the season, expanding the collection's vision beyond gowns into a complete way of dressing.
As always, every piece is produced in New York City's Garment Center, underscoring our dedication to craftsmanship and local production. Spring/Summer 2026 embodies the continuity and refinement of the brand, remaining true to its signatures while offering a vision of summer that feels both timeless and transportive."
