"For Spring/Summer 2027, I was drawn to the romance and simplicity of prairie dressing and the idea of reinterpreting it through the Markarian perspective.
I wanted the collection to feel light, feminine and easy, while still maintaining the sense of detail and craftsmanship that defines Markarian. Cotton dresses and separates are finished with delicate embroideries, fine stripes and soft floral prints, in a palette of sky blue, pale ivory and fresh pink. Subtle Western elements come through in fringe belts and handcrafted details, adding texture without feeling too literal.
There is also a real focus this season on expanding the idea of the Markarian wardrobe and creating pieces that feel special but can be worn more naturally every day. Tonal embroidery and subtle detailing elevate simple white T-shirts, while relaxed separates and day dresses sit alongside more romantic silhouettes and pieces that can move easily from day into evening.
For me, the collection is ultimately about a softer approach to summer dressing. It feels romantic and optimistic, with a sense of nostalgia, but still very much grounded in how women want to dress today."
